hello. i made a very stupid game called barkley shut up and jam: gaiden and i also did not make it to the igf finals. at first i was a little disappointed and spiteful towards you have to burn the rope, but then i realized how disgusting that is. i do not know if you know much about the whole "bob's game" thing that is going on right now, but basically some guy named bob is locking himself up in a room for 100 days to protest nintendo refusing to publish his game. it is very childish. i think there are parallels you could draw between being bitter about you have to burn the rope and what bob does.
what i mean to say is that it is not a huge deal, and that this is a little bit gross. i'm pretty sure the guy who made yhtbtr (that's gamer slang for "you have to burn the rope" - i invented it) realizes that maybe putting his game in there was a stretch.
YDHTBTR is perhaps the greatest fucking game i have ever seen in my entire fucking life. I will show my family and carry a laptop around in the city and make people play the game so they can see what masterpiece it is.
I found a secret level, see the knob above the big platform, jump at it, and then if you are lucky it'll glitch and let you out, jump to the right and there is a platform, I missed it and couldn't get back up, because I somehow landed in Purgatory.
Perhaps I'm being an ass when I say this but seriously, come on... how in God's name could YHTBTR win against so many amazing games? It would be one thing if there was a dearth of decent submissions this year, but not only was the opposite true, most of those games were downright amazing. That YHTBTR won against the likes of Mighty Jill Off, Mondo Nation, and I Wish I Were the Moon is just insane. And how is it innovative to rip off the ending of Portal? With an inferior song?
It looks amazing. I think that simply games are really getting into the people. Plants vs Zombies is just simply and it is very popular. Also Viagra Online is simply and popular.
I needed to write down a brief notice in buy to thanks for all the fantastic suggestions you're placing at this website. I haven't been paying attention to IGF, but after seeing this post I decided it was time to look at the finalists. Wow. I am speechless.
Haha! This game is SO totally innovative! OMG!! How did you create this masterpiece!?

he's okay with me!
I guess I should've made it more clear that this is a joke, the ending isn't directed at anyone I just thought it was funny.
